Part-time post leading to possible full time career. Apply here.
Good news for Spurs fans. Harry has made his intentions of seeing through his responsibilities with Tottenham until the end of the season. The one thing they do not need at this time is any distractions so I am sure that is welcome news to all involved with the club – players, supporters, coaching staff and owners.
I think taking England to the Euros and seeing what he can do is the most sensible option. Not only can Harry get a feel for what the job entails but the players will be working with someone they are familiar with.
Add to that the possibility that the press will not be trying to derail the manager at every opportunity (given they have been banging the drum these last few weeks) and England may in fact have a chance of actually doing really well this summer.
‘Arry
So what can we say about Harry Redknapp?
He is English and there is a lot of call for an English manager.
He has a lot of experience in management.
He has worked with some top level players.
He has the knack of getting something out of players. Saha, Adebayor, Van der Vaart.
He gives youngsters a chance if he feels they deserve it.
He has taken Spurs from relegation zone to a title challenging side in a under 3 years.
He wants the job.
He is the best thing since sliced bread according to press, pundits, players, the public.
And why should the FA not consider him?
He is unproven at international level. But so were previous managers.
He has only won an FA cup with Portsmouth.
He is getting on and has had heart trouble recently.
He will cost the FA some £10-15 million in compensation
He has said that he doesn’t need the “aggro” associated with the job.
He needs to finish the job he has started at Spurs to really prove himself.
Goodbye Fabio …. Hello ???
And here we are again …. Englands Next Manager rises from the ashes.
Fabio departs and the FA are once again on the hunt for a new manager …
The bookies and publics favourite is none nother than nthe recently acquited ‘Arry Redknapp. A fine choice but will Spurs let him go without a fight and is it really in his best interests to take on the role. In his own words, it will be hard for him to turn it down …
In the meantime Stuart “Psycho” Pearce will hold fort. Pearce has experience of the England set up and is a natural leader, so should do a pretty decent job.
Good luck against the Dutch!!
